Jean obediently sits down, the rapier on his hip rattling as he adjusts it behind him. He knows everyone thinks he looks silly, carrying the piratey looking sword with him everywhere, but he got through the city with nothing except it and a dented nine iron. The sword has earned his respect, and if the compound falls, he's not being taken off guard.
